Introduction:

Each state/territory enters two “under 18 girls” eight ball athletes as part of their state/territory team to the Australian Eight Ball Junior Champions (Junior Nationals). Each under 18 athlete plays every other under 18 athletes in individual matches (best of “5” five frames). These matches are know as the under 18 girls singles round robin event. At the conclusion of the round round the top 4 athletes contest the semi finals and winners progress to the Grand Final.

In 2020 the introduction of Best of 26 frames in the round robin, Semi (1v4 2v3), Preliminary, and Grand Final. Round Robin during the week.

In 2019 the introduction of Best of 26 frames in the round robin, Preliminary (2nd v 3rd), and Grand Final. Round Robin during the week.

In 2017 the introduction of Best of 21 frames in the round robin, Preliminary (2nd v 3rd), and Grand Final. Round Robin during the week.

In 2015 the introduction of Best of 19 frames in the round robin, Preliminary (2nd v 3rd), and Grand Final. Round Robin during the week.

In 2016 the introduction of Best of 19 frames in the round robin, Preliminary (2nd v 3rd), and Grand Final. Round Robin during the week.

In 2015 the introduction of Best of 19 frames in the round robin and Grand Final (1st v 2nd). Round Robin played on one day.

In 2013 the introduction of Best of 17 frames in the round robin and Grand Final (1st v 2nd). Round Robin played on one day.

In 2003 the introduction of Best of 15 frames in the round robin and Grand Final (1st v 2nd). Round Robin played on one day.

The Trophy goes to the person who has achieved or brought credit to the eight ball sporting community through their actions during the Australian Junior Eight Ball Championships.

Introduction: Performance Cup Introduction

The Performance Cup was introduced in 1999 and the trophy and is proudly sponsored by RACK EM UP BILLIARD CENTRE, LILYDALE.  The winner of the Performance Cup will be the best performing state during all of the singles age groups.

Jo Shrigley: 1999 Australian Junior Development Officer. .. “It was decided to start now, this year with our idea of “Team Trophy.” It’s purpose is to have team stats calculated to come up with the best performed state team, before finals. This would be to encourage players to keep trying their best till the end even if they knew they couldn’t make the finals themselves.”
